New show location in 2012!
Also new in 2012, Roy Rogers Jr & the High Riders perform with Brule' in the shows from September 24 - November 2, 2012.
Roy Rogers, Jr & the High Riders are back this season (2012) at the
RFD-TV The Theatre, starting in
April paying tribute to the 100th birthday of The King of the Cowboys, Roy Rogers.
A show full of wonderful western "cowboy" music,
Roy Rogers Jr. welcomed a
new addition to the show in 2008: his son
Dustin Roy Rogers, Roy and Dale's grandson.
Dustin rejoins his dad in the show for
2012!
Roy "Dusty" Rogers Jr. and his band,
the High Riders, perform the
greatest of America's western music in this tribute to the cowboy and cowboy icons. Hear "
Cool Water," "
Tumblin' Tumbleweeds," "
Blue Prairie," and more. Dusty, an affable gent if there ever was one, also shares tales of growing up with his folks,
Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, and answers any questions the audience might have. You'll see why
Dusty was named FAME's (Families Advocating Moral Entertainment) 2009 & 2010 Western Music Artist of the Year.
The High Riders includes
Tommy Nallie, John Fullerton, Nathan Agdeppa, Greg Moody and
Dino Strunk.
Shows last
2 hours with intermission.
Fun fact from January 2, 2012: RFD-TV's parade float in the
Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA featured Dusty, Dustin and the High Riders. They sang
Happy Trails to celebrate the 100th birthday of Roy Rogers. The float was escorted by 100 golden Palominos.
